What are you going to do with your time after you retire?

If you retire in reasonably good health at 65, chances are, you will live to be 85. That’s 20 years of life ahead of you. That means you also have 7,300 days to fill with excitement—or 7,300 days to spend in complete, utter, and mind-numbing boredom.

So which would you choose? You’ll want to get off the rocking chair and actually have some fun while you’re still alive and kicking, right? Start your adventure with this retirement travel bucket list:

Try Three Different Types of Extreme Sports

If you’re a healthy retiree or are in need of a little physical, mental, or emotional tune-up, then make sure extreme sports are on your list. Trying such will let you experience the true meaning of the word YOLO or “you only live once”, as coined by the younger generation.

Trying just one or two types of extreme sports all your life isn’t so much fun—so why not do at least three? Maybe try whitewater rafting in Colorado, paragliding in Hautes Alpes, or skydiving in Wollongong.

Visit the Seven Natural Wonders of the World

There are so many other natural wonders in the world, but that list is not a bad place to start.

You can go visit the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia, and Mount Everest. There’s also the Swiss Alps, as well as national parks across America, including the most-visited Great Smokey Mountains, the classic Yosemite, Yellowstone, the wet Everglades, and the dry Death Valley.
Take a Safari Through Every Continent

Journeying into the wild is a chance for you to get in touch with nature, experience local cultures, and capture one-of-a-kind photos—perfect for the retiree who just wants to experience all the good things life has to offer.

Put taking a safari through more than 100 countries in every continent on your bucket list. If you don’t have that much time (or budget) to visit everything, at least take a trip to Africa. The best times are usually January to March, and June to December.

Now is the time to do the things you love. Check these things off your bucket list as times go by, and keep the good times rolling.
